Puerto Rican singer Victor Manuelle has had a successful 20-year career and has achieved great importance as one of Latin America's favorite salsa performers.

The famous singer, who recently began a new tour, received an award last week in the Puerto Rican Senate for the outstanding success he has accomplished both in his country and abroad.

Moments after the event held at the Senate's Capitol on May 22, the salsa star gave an exclusive interview to Latinos Post in which he talked about his emotions, his dreams, achievements as well as sending a message to all the Latinos living in the U.S. who identify with his music.

During the interview, Victor Manuelle said the tribute paid by the Senate is a recognition to his nearly two-decade career, stating that his effort and dedication to the singing craft has allowed him to achieve unimaginable heights and success in the past few years.

LATINOS POST - What is your reflection after being distinguished by the Senate In Puerto Rico?
VICTOR - It's an incredible experience to have the Senate recognize my effort over the years. I was very excited and it was a very emotional moment for me to share with my family and friends who have always supported me.

Victo Manuelle, who throughout his career has been at the top of the Billboard charts with over 10 million albums sold and 19 records released, said he did not have a specific desire he wished to fulfill in his career. Instead, he wants to keep working hard and take advantage of the opportunities and the doors that life opens.

LATINOS POST - What do you think are some keys to your success?
VICTOR - I've always worked hard, and that keeps opening doors for me to keep on working. My goal is to work and delight people, while thanking God for the opportunity and my fans for following my music.

The 44-year-old singer, who is touring to support his latest album, "Me Llamaré Tuyo," said that the title of his first single, "Ando Por Las Nubes," perfectly mirrors the current stage of his career, because he feels as if he was "playing in the clouds,"---a success he continually attributes to God and to his audience.

LATINOS POST - Does 'Ando Por Las Nubes', title of your new single, reflect what you are currently living through?
VICTOR - I feel as if i were in the clouds, there are so many nice things going on. I feel like if I was frolicking with angels by having all these moments of great joy with my audience.

During this tour, which also is a celebration of his nearly two-decade long career, Victor Manuelle will visit his Latino audience in the United States, with performances in Houston, Miami, North Carolina and New York, where he will seek to delight his fans with something more than a concert, he wants to have a party filled with music, dancing, joy and celebration instead.

Finally the Puerto Rican salsa star sent a message to Hispanics in the U.S., who have found it necessary to immigrate to the country and separate from their families. The singer urged them to keep working hard and give an example of the strength Latinos have in order to overcome all obstacles.

LATINOS POST - What is one message you would like to give to all of your fans here in the U.S.?
VICTOR - Music goes beyond all boundaries, being outside your country is a reminder to keep fighting and working hard to surpass everything. Latinos are strong and my music hopes to seek to share that culture.

Victor Manuelle is one of the few Latinos that will sing this year at Radio City Music Hall in New York, one of three of the most emblematic places of New York City, along with Madison Square Garden and the Beacon Theatre.
