Bigfoot is dead. This is what conspiracy theorists are raving about after reports indicate that a Turkey Hunter in Pennsylvania shot dead the wild monster. Moreover, they say that police forces have been covering up the death of the legendary creature.

According to reports, a 911 call was made by John Winesickle on May 14 claiming that he had seen several evidences pointing to the whereabouts of Bigfoot. The man from Paint Township was hoping for the Altoona, PA police to verify these proofs.

While the 911 call was validated by the police, the series of events after that haven't be proven and confirmed.

"While the 911 call is not in doubt, what followed has become a matter of dispute and debate as various rumors have circulated - mainly focusing on an unidentified turkey hunter who had shot and killed the mythic beast and a menacing helicopter hovering over the alleged scene," wrote the Daily Mail UK.

According to the report, the police received the call from Winesickle around 10:30 am. At about 2:41 pm, the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society received an email that they had heard from police scanners that Bigfoot had been shot.

"Today in Somerset county PA a turkey hunter shot and killed an animal he claimed is a Sasquatch," the email read, reports Daily Mail. "The state police were called and responded to the scene, according to chatter on the local police frequencies the officers confirmed there was an unidentified animal shot and killed. Details are a bit fuzzy at this time."

A little over half an hour after the society received the first email, another one was received confirming the initial reports.

"Hello, YES this is legit, a strange report came over the scanner here in Somerset, Pa. just a few miles from Flight 93memorial," wrote the email.

While the sequence of events has still yet to be explained, police however say that what Winesickle saw near his home are just bears. Still the man insists that Bigfoot is alive and lives near his home at Pennsylvania.

"It wasn't a bear, it was Bogfoot," he insisted.
