After investigating Amanda Bynes' claim that she was sexually harassed by police during her arrest last Thursday, the New York Police Department has released a statement claiming that they have no evidence to confirm that Bynes' claim is true.

Last week, the doorman in her midtown Manhattan apartment building called 911 to report that the 27-yearold actress was smoking weed in the lobby, acting erratically and talking to herself. When police officers arrived to her 36th floor apartment, the former child star reportedly threw a marijuana bong out the window and was subsequently arrested on charges of reckless endangerment, felony tampering with evidence, and criminal possession of marijuana.

Police took Bynes to a hospital to be psychologically evaluated before she spent the night in Central Bookings.

In response to her arrest, Bynes threatened to sue the NYPD for "lying" about her drug possession charges in a series of Twitter posts. She also tweeted that a cop "slapped my vagina."

The NYPD released a statement Tuesday about Bynes' sexual harassment claims, according to CNN.

"Internal Affairs investigators have found no evidence to corroborate Ms. Bynes' allegations. To the contrary, a credible civilian witness who was with the officers throughout told investigators that none touched Ms. Bynes inappropriately or otherwise engaged in misconduct at any time."

Bynes defended herself in a tweet Saturday: "I never had a bong in my life!"

"My lawyer and I are taking this mistake extremely seriously! You cannot illegally enter my apartment then take me to mental hospital without any grounds," she tweeted. "I have never been so offended in my life. They found nothing criminal on me or around me, one cop then sexually assaulted me, so I'm suing for all of the above! I'll be happy when I get money compensation from the cop who assaulted me and NYPD for wrongfully arresting me and having me put into a mental hospital and jail overnight! I don't want to keep talking about it."

Bynes took to Twitter again Tuesday to insist her latest bizarre episode had been blown out of proportion, claiming her lawyer had already gotten the case dismissed.

"My lawyer is getting my case dropped!" Bynes tweeted.

Bynes' next court date is July 9.
