There are many Verizon fans disappointed at the recent announcement that revealed Jennifer Lopez instead of a Verizon HTC One. Still, fans of the handset might not have much to worry about thanks to one HTC insider's recent tweet.

LlabTooFer, well known in the HTC mod community, recently took to Twitter to answer a question many using Verizon's network are thinking.

"@LlabTooFeR So, there was no Verizon HTC One reveal today. Do you think a reveal is still possible?" asks @c_dusel42.

"@c_dusel42 It will be announced later," answered LlabTooFer.

Short and cryptic, yes, but as SlashGear points out, LlabTooFer has been incredibly reliant in the past, unloading RUU files "almost as if he (or she) works with HTC in some way or another." Still, do remember nothing is official until Verizon confirms, so it's still best to be a little wary rather get your hopes dashed.

The HTC One is currently available for purchase on the nation's three other major carriers: AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint. Verizon is the last to the party, but a quick look at the carrier's history shows that it usually is.

The HTC One is HTC's 2013 flagship phone, and comes with a 4.7-inch 1080p display encased in a sleek aluminum body. The handset is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor and 2GB RAM. The One uses a special "Ultrapixel" rear-facing camera and sports a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone runs Android 4.1.2 out of the box.

Will you be picking up the HTC One if and when it releases on Verizon? Or has the wait made you consider other Android smartphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S4?
