For those of you experiencing "Vampire Diaries" withdrawal, fear no more. A spin-off series, called "The Originals," is coming to The CW in October. While that may seem like a far way off, there's still plenty of vampire gossip to get fans through the summer. "The Originals" follows the original vampire family of Klaus (Joseph Morgan), Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Rebekah (Claire Holt) as they make their way back to New Orleans, leaving Mystic Falls for greener pastures as the majority of the "Vampire Diaries" gang heads to college.

Now, in a series of interviews, fans are offered an inside look into the upcoming spin-off series and what it has in store for some of the "Vampire Diaries" stars.

"We ended the backdoor pilot in a good place, moving forward together, a tentative partnership between us," said Morgan while talking about the sibling rivalry between his character, Klaus, and Elijah. "But as things complicate, as the series pans out, there's room for throwing that up in the air. As far as the baby is concerned, I can't imagine that we both have identical plans of how this child should be raised. So I imagine we're going to have a conflict of interest."

"It's just going to be that ultimate dynamic of Elijah in pursuit of making certain that the family is reinstated as they once were, which is sort of this pursuit of a fantasy, almost," Gillies added. "And Klaus is a lot more malevolently in pursuit of power. It's no less of a fantasy. And it's sort of watching those two dynamics intersect."

As for Rebekah, the life she knew in Mystic Falls will be completely turned upside down. For starters, she's going to an aunt! In an episode previously aired during a "Vampire Diaries" off week earlier this year, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) shocked Klaus with news of her pregnancy after the two shared a night of passion.

"We'll see how happy she is about that," Holt told Hollywood Life at The CW Upfront. "She'll be a little jealous, right?"

While she may be jealous of Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Klaus's romance, that doesn't mean there's no room for love in her own life. "I feel like there's always romance everywhere she goes, or at least she's desperate for it, so I can't imagine that's going to ease off," Holt said.

"The Originals" will air Tuesday nights on The CW starting in October 2013. Check out several photos from the series above.
