Sofia Vergara Engaged to Nick Loeb

After years of being on and off, Sofia Vergara and boyfriend Nick Loeb finally seem ready to make a lifetime commitment.

The Colombian superstar, famous for her breakout role in "Modern Family," showed off a diamond ring during her 40^th birthday celebration Monday to officially announce her engagement to Loeb.

The birthday was celebrated with 90 of Vergara's closest friends and family in Mexico at the Rosewood Mayakoba resort, according to the NY Daily News.

Loeb, 36, apparently proposed while the entourage was visiting the Mayan archaeological ruins of Chichenitza.

The couple has been dating since 2010, but apparently broke up in May only reunite weeks later. They met at a Golden Globes Party in 2010.

This will be Vergara's second marriage. She was previously wed to Joe Gonzalez, who was her childhood sweetheart. The two have a 20-year-old son Manolo, but split in 1993.

Vergara, was recently named Comedy Actress of the Year for her role in "Modern Family" at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards.

She was also officially announced as part of the cast of the new Machete film entitled "Machete Kills" which is the follow up to 2010's "Machete" directed by Texan director Robert Rodriguez. She will join a cast that includes Dominican Actress Zoe Saldana (Avatar), Amber Heard (The Rum Diaries), Jessica Alba, Danny Trejo, and Michelle Rodriguez.
