"Pokémon X and Y" have four new pocket monsters and their types and English names have been confirmed.

Accompanying the already confirmed Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Xerneas, Yveltal, and Sylveon are Helioptile, Fletchling, Gogoat, and Pancham.

The four new Pokémon were previously leaked when the Japanese magazine CoroCoro leaked images last weekend.

Starting with Helioptile, the reptile Pokémon is classified as both Electric and Normal types weighing only 13.2 lbs and measuring 1-foot and 8-inches tall. Helioptile, as far as movesets, can learn Parabolic Charge, which heals the user for the half damage it deals against its opponent.

Fletchling will be the standard generic bird Pokémon the user comes across early in their journey. Although it is a Normal and Flying type, the bird-like Pokémon can learn Flame Charge.

Pancham, a Fighting-type Pokémon, resembles a small Panda. Pancham, which has a signature leaf in his mouth, can learn the new move Parting Shot, lowering the Attack and Special Attack of the opponent then switching itself for another Pokémon in the party.

Finally, Gogoat is a goat. The Grass-type Pokémon is 5-foot 7-inches all, enough for the user to ride on its back. Gogoat can learn Horn Leech, which saps away the opponents HP.

The main playable characters have also been confirmed. Users can pick either a male or female hero and be able to get new attire and accessories as the story progresses.

The game will take place in a star-shaped land named Kalos, which features mountains and rivers with Lumiose City serving as the central hub of the area. Lumoise City is the location where the Eiffel Tower lookalike structure that can be seen in previously-released footage stands.

"Pokémon X and Y" will be released in October, simultaneously across Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America for the Nintendo 3DS.
