On May 13th Univision will premiere the new telenovela "Corazon Indomable."

The series, starring Anna Brenda Contreras, and Daniel Arenas, tells the story of Maricruz, a young and impoverished woman who is humiliated by the rich and the love of her life. When she mysteriously becomes rich and powerful she changes her identity and decides to get revenge.

The series aired in Mexico in February after having begun production in January. Mexican audiences received the work to rave reviews and it obtained a huge audience.  

It is a remake to the famous 1994 telenovela "Marimar" which starred Thalia and Eduardo Capetillo and brought Thalia to fame.

Mexican actress Contreras was last seen in "La Que No Podia Amar" which marked her first lead role alongside Jorge Salinas, Julian Gil and Jose Ron. She was also seen in "Teresa" as a supporting role and played the villain in "Sortilegio." Contreras also appeared in "Duelo de Passiones" and "Barrera de Amor." She is a TVyNovelas Award nominee.

Colombian actor Arenas reunites with Contreras after working on "Teresa" with her. He was last seen in "Amorcito Corazon" alongside Diego Olivera and Fabiola Campomanes. He has also been seen in "Decisiones," "Dona Bella" and "La Sucursal del Cielo." Arenas is also known for his work in theater.

The series also stars Rene Strickler (Amor Bravio), Rocio Banquells (Mujeres Asesinas 3), Elizabeth Alvarez (Amorcito Corazon), Cesar Evora (Amor Bravio), Manuel Landeta (Teresa), Alejandro Tommasi (La Fuerza del Destino), and Maria Elena Velasco (Mujer Casos de La Vida Real). "Corazon Indomable" was produced Nathalie Lartilleux (Mar de Amor, Cuidado Con El Angel) and Univision will air the series at 7 pm. It replaces the award winning novela "Corona de Lagrimas" which had its finale on Friday.
