Jurassic Park is back!

The much awaited follow up to the high grossing film will be returning to the big screen next year - 2014. And while not a lot has been revealed about the new Jurassic Park 4, a new update will keep fans on their feet. Could JP4 be shot in Isla Nublar? The film franchise will apparently be making its way back to the original set of the 1993 blockbuster but no concrete details yet on how or why.

Newly installed director, Colin Trevorrow, tweeted a teaser image of the location with the caption "Nublar #JP4" suggesting that the upcoming film should have something to do with the old set location.

In the original Jurassic Park, released in 1993, Isla Nublar is the main facility and theme park where the dinosaurs were kept for attraction. Most parts of the series' first instalment were shot in the location. In the film, Nublar was located 120 miles off West Coast Costa Rica and 87 miles away from Isla Sorna or Site B, where the dinosaurs were being cloned from prehistoric DNA and bred before shipping into Nublar. The second and third instalments of the Jurassic Park series 'The Lost World: Jurassic Park' and 'Jurassic Park 3,' were shot in Isla Sorna.

'Isla Nublar' is actually located in Kualoa Ranch in Hawaii.

Jurassic Park 4 has been a long time coming. Initial talks of a part 4 started in 2008, when producer Steven Spielberg was rumoured to be talking about rebooting the franchise.

The film franchise has been one of the most successful film series to ever be released. 'Jurassic Park' earned more than $960 million--18th highest in the world--'The Lost World' had $618 million and 'Jurassic Park 3' had over $368 million. Also, a 3D version of the first film was released last year to much acclaim, grossing $18.2 million in North America alone on its first weekend.

So far, no news about the cast has been released; however, JP4 is expected to start filming in June with an expected release date of Summer 2014. It will be directed by Colin Trevorrow, with scriptwriters Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver and produced by Stephen Spielberg.
