Diablo 3 fans have been waiting patiently for the PlayStation 3 version of the game to launch, and now Blizzard has added more fuel to the fire by announcing a pre-order incentive. The bonus in question is known as 'The Infernal Helm,' an item which grants players a considerable experience boost. Each of the five characters classes available in the game can use this exclusive armor, so players shouldn't worry about missing out on the gear if they prefer a particular play style, according to Eurogamer. Certain retailers will also have exclusive pre-order bonus content as well.

Diablo 3 will be specially optimized for the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation 4, and features brand new controls to take advantage of the a console's controller, rather than a PC keyboard. Diablo 3 will also sport four player splitscreen co-op play, as well as menu-driven item trading, rather than the Auction House on the PC.

So far, Diablo 3 has been one of the best-selling PC games of all time, and sold over 12 million copies at the end of 2012. The PlayStation 3 and 4 versions of the game are expected sometime later this year; meanwhile, the PlayStation 4 is expected sometime around the holiday season. The PlayStation 3 version of the game recently had a hands-on demo at PAX East, and the PC version of the game received a new patch to fix several bugs and flaws in the game.

Blizzard should have another enormous success on their hands whenever Diablo 3 makes its way to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Though the game does not have a release date yet, gamers should be ready to explore dungeons and tackle bosses with up to three friends, both locally and online.
