The Microsoft Surface tablet will continue to launch in more than a dozen countries by the end of May.

According to the Surface team, the Surface with Windows RT will launch Thursday (April 25) in Malaysia. Mexico will also see the Windows RT variant of the Microsoft tablet by the end of May while Asia's Korea and Thailand will see the tablet hit their shelves in June.

The Surface with Windows RT is already available in 29 markets: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

The Surface with Windows 8 Pro will see the bigger launch. The tablet was promoted to be available "in the coming months" earlier this year, and Microsoft has now sketched a clearer date.

The Surface with Windows 8 Pro will make its debut by the end of May in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

More countries will experience the Windows 8 Pro variant before the end of June, including Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Singapore, and Thailand.

The Surface with Windows 8 Pro is already available in Canada, China, and the United States.

"The enthusiasm for Surface has been fantastic, and we love hearing the stories of people who are making it the one device they use to work and play," wrote Surface General Manager Brian Hall. "This is what Surface was designed to do - simplify your life while letting you do more! In fact, one of our biggest challenges has been keeping our 128GB Surface Pro in stock. We've worked hard to increase availability, and most retail partners in the U.S. and Canada as well as the Microsoft Store now have the 128GB product consistently in stock."
