He is back! The man who achieved the impossible has made his return. He's spawned a global sensation. He's the first man to ever accumulate 1 billion YouTube views on a single video. He has now moved on and brings the world a whole new slice of epically proportioned entertainment. He's the man, the myth, the legend. He is PSY.

PSY planned to unveil his new single "Gentleman" April 12 in South Korea and then to the rest of the world via a live YouTube streamed extravaganza the following day, but as we've all come to expect in the modern day realm of the Internet, the song leaked early. As some may sympathize with PSY's disappointment, it's not really that detrimental. Regardless of whether or not they've heard the song beforehand, it's not going to deter fans from tuning in on Saturday for the special blowout promotional concert. Besides, PSY announced that the new single would come with yet another brilliantly choreographed dance that has yet to be revealed. That's more than half the appeal.

The only downside is that critics and fans alike will now realize sooner that "Gentleman" doesn't stack up to his previous "Gangman Style." The song's pulsing synths mirror those of his original smash hit. The beat drops at the same moment in the same fashion. It's not to say that the song isn't catchy or rhythmic, it's just that we've already heard it. He's not stepping out of his comfort zone. He's giving us more of what we've already heard more than a billion times, and sadly, his second attempt falls short of standards he himself set with "Gangman Style." "Gentleman" is a catchy tune, but it's not addictive.

Hopefully he'll bring some fresher material to his new dance routine. Tomorrow's broadcasted performance is sure to leave fan's jaws glued to the floor. He's a performer, that's what he does best. And who knows, perhaps without the dance the song is incomplete. Hopefully he will once again shock the world with yet another global phenomenon.

Listen to "Gentleman" below.
