Google's X phone, the very mysterious smartphone from Motorola that has been kept under wraps for quite some time now, has been delayed. The phone was originally rumored to be scheduled for a late June or early July release date, but a new rumor states that the phone will not become available to the public until August, or perhaps even later,

Not much is known about the Google X phone, as Google has yet to officially announce the project to the public yet. This may be because Google is rumored to be unhappy with the device thus far, and they are even less happy about the upcoming phones Motorola is planning to release. If these rumors are true, then there may be dysfunction between the two parties, and that is what is causing the Google X phone's delay.

The Google X phone has several rumors surrounding it. One Motorola advisor has hinted that the Google X phone will be the first customizable Android phone, while others claim that this is not the case. Other rumors suggest the phone will carry Android 4.2, but not a fully stock version of the operating system. The phone is also speculated to have no microSD card slot and carries a 4.7 inch, 1080p display.

It is hard to pin down exactly what the Google X phone will become, but perhaps Motorola and Google are not sure either. Many are expecting, or at least hoping, that the device is revealed at Google I/O in May, even if the device is delayed. With so many unconfirmed rumors about the phone, it is important to remember to take any sort of information about the Google X phone with caution, until Google and Motorola make official announcements about the device.
