Jamaica survived its first crucial test in the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifiers and will get a chance to build off their success against Mexico in their match against Panama.

A 0-0 draw is usually not something to celebrate, but keeping the top team in your confederation from scoring a single goal for 90 plus minutes is certainly cause for celebration, especially on their turf. The draw should give the Jamaicans confidence heading into their match with the upstart Panamanians. Panama drew 2-2 against Costa Rica with goals from Luis Henríquez and Román Torres. The trouble part of the draw is how Panama obtained it. The two goals came in the first 27 minutes of play and Panama held a 2-0 lead until Costa Rica managed to score in the 39th. Despite the lead being cut in half, Panama persevered and managed to hold the advantage until the 84th minute. The blown lead is certainly not the mark of an elite squad and that alone should give Jamaica confidence heading into the match on Friday.

The two sides have faced off seven times with Panama winning three and drawing three. Jamaica has only won one match.

Prediction: Panama wins 2-1.
