Maggie Q, Zoe Kravitz and Ansel Elgort have joined the cast of "Divergent," Summit/Lionsgate's adaptation of Veronica Roth's Young Adult novel.

"Divergent" revolves around an apocalypse in which humanity has reorganized itself into five factions (Abnegation, Candor, Amity Erudite, Dauntless). Each faction upholds and lives by a single core value.

Q will play Tori, a tattooed owner of a tattoo parlor who is part of the choosing ceremony that divides people into factions. She ends up helping the lead character Tris. Kravitz is set to play Christina, a member of the Dauntless faction, which embodies bravery, and who becomes friends with Tris. Elgort nabbed the highly sought-after role of Caleb, Tris's twin brother who turns his back on his family, part of the Abnegation clan, to be part of the Erudite clan.

Q last starred in the film adaptation of "Priest" alongside Paul Bettany and currently stars in the TV series "Nikita." Kravitz was last seen in "The Boy Who Smelled Like Fish" and will next star in "After Earth" with Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith.

Elgort has only one credit to his name in the upcoming "Carrie" but insiders are pinning him to the son of fashion photographer Arthur Elgort and has become an actor to watch.

The film is set to star Shailene Woodley as Tris, and Kate Winslet in an unknown role. The movie will be directed by Neil Burger and Douglas Wick, Lucy Fisher, and Pouya Shahbazian will produce. Production is set to start shooting this spring in Chicago."Divergent" will be released on March 21, 2014.
