The shipping date for the Samsung Galaxy S3 has been moved back one day, reports Verizon Wireless.

The phone was originally slated for a July 9 release by the carrier, but reports Friday morning indicate that this will no longer be the case. The news could be difficult for Verizon users awaiting the phone as the June 18 release from competitors AT& T and the June 21 Sprint release becomes more and more attractive.

Verizon is offering two versions of the Galaxy S3 for pre-order. The 16GB iteration will cost $199.99, while the 32GB version is 249.99. Both versions of the phone will be subsidized under a two-year contract. Verizon consumers will also need to subscribe to a $30 monthly 4G LTE mobile broadband data plan that offers 2GB of data allowance each month. The International Business Times Reports that Verizon will also offer a software update with its version of Galaxy S3 which will allow users to have conversations around the world.

The news is the latest among difficult news for Verizon's shipment of the S3. Samsung announced last week that Verizon's variant of the Galaxy S3 would lack the 50GB free Dropbox storage which would come with the device. AT&T will also miss out on the feature.

The Galaxy S3 packs a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display. Also, AT&T Galaxy S3 devices runs on dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processors with 2GB of RAM. The device has 16/32GB of internal storage with microSD card support up to 64GB. Samsung will also be launching a 64GB variant of Galaxy S3 later this year. The Galaxy S3 will also run on Android 4.0 and will include software features like S Voice, Pop-up Play, Smart Eye tracking, Burst shoot camera mode and S Beam. It has 8-megapixel camera at the back that can record fullHD 1080p videos.
