Oakland Raiders defensive tackle Desmond Howard made headlines this week, but not for his play.

Bryant was arrested early Sunday morning in Florida on charges of criminal mischief after charges that he entered a neighbor's house while drunk, according to The Inquisitr. The four-year defensive end with Oakland was booked into a Miami-Dade County jail at 9:24 a.m. EST Sunday and was held on a bond between $200 and $1,000.

"We're aware of the situation and are gathering more information," Raiders spokesman Zak Gilbert told NFL.com in a statement.

The arrest comes at a time when Bryant is entering unrestricted free agency. In the last four years, he's recorded 95 tackles and 11.5 sacks and recorded 36 tackles and four sacks for Oakland last year, solid stats that make Bryant an attractive target on defense for most teams. However, his latest arrest could scare off potential suitors who are wary of his off-the-field antics, which could cost him leverage in contract negotiations with the Raiders.

More than anything else, however, it was his mug shot that drew the most attention to Bryant's arrest Sunday. The image of an unshaved Bryant, a dazed look on his face with his tongue lolling halfway out of his mouth, has caused quite the reaction online, especially on Twitter.

"Possibly the worst celebrity mug shot ever taken. Of course, arrested drunk at 9:24 a.m. tells a lot of the story," wrote Chuck Oliver.

"Damn Homie! Check Out Raiders DT DesmondBryant's Mugshot!! WORST Mugshot EVER?! " tweeted user Funk Flex.

"Greatest NFL mugshot since _____?" wrote Jason McIntyre.

"Seems hungry no?" wrote Houston radio host Matt Jackson.

Because of Desmond Bryant's close name resemblance to Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant, word spread that Dez--not Desmond--was the one arrested, prompting a few online journalists to promptly clarify who the actual person was arrested.

Even Dez, who has more than 300,000 Twitter followers, felt he had to clear the air. "Ooo [expletive] false rumors about jail? Lol I was working out at 2 something in the morning in Dallas tx," tweeted Dez Bryant on Sunday
