For Rob Gronkowski, the hits keep on coming even after the NFL season is over.

The New England Patriots superstar tight end is once again in the center of controversy due to his fast-living, hard-partying lifestyle after reports say that he spent a whopping $9,615 during a Super Bowl party at Las Vegas' XS nightclub.

As The Daily Mail reports, Gronkowski ran up his tab thanks in part to a $1,595 magnum bottle of Perrier-Jouet brut, three bottles of Grey Goose vodka, which cost  $525 each, and dozens of cans of Red Bull. In addition, the L.A. Times reports,Gronkowski left a tip of $1,400 for the house.

Gronkowski, 23, has been heavily criticized for his partying ways for some time. The 6'6", two-time Pro Bowler is recovering from a broken forearm that he sustained during the playoffs, which kept him out of the AFC title game that the Patriots lost to the eventual Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens.

When news broke out that he was partying during Super Bowl weekend in spite of having a broken forearm, the talented tight end was pummeled by critics accusing him of being reckless and immature. And last year, Gronkowski, who was playing with a bum ankle in Super Bowl XLVI, went out partying despite having an ankle injury and the Patriots having just lost the Super Bowl in heartbreaking fashion to the New York Giants.

Gronkowski told NFL.com recently that his recovery from his broken forearm was on schedule, having had his cast removed. And regarding his partying, he offered an explanation.

"I've just been living my life how I have been -- with my family, with my friends -- since I was a young kid," Gronkowski said. "I appreciate everyone's support of me. Just worrying about my arm, just making sure I'm 100 percent healthy, which I totally agree because I definitely want to be 100 percent healthy.

"I love playing the game of football. I love the game of football. To this day, I always wonder, without sports where would I be? I just have to appreciate that and just watch out, totally be careful out there, and get my forearm 100 percent and get my body healthy so when next season rolls around, I'm ready to go," he added.
