Apple will be unable to successfully ban the Samsung Galaxy S3 in the US.

According to PC Advisor, the US court dealing with an existing hearing with Apple stated that it simply had no time or resources to go after the Galaxy S3 into the equation. As a result, Apple will have to file a new request if it wishes to pursue the cause.

Apple tried to add the Galaxy S3 to a case against the Galaxy Nexus before the highly anticipated smart phone launched in the US. Samsung fired back that it was too late to add it to the lawsuit, and the court, citing "limited resources," agreed.

Apple alleges that the Galaxy S3 infringes two of its iPhone patents relating to a universal interface for retrieval of information in a computer system and a system and method for performing an action on a structure in computer-generated data.

In order for Apple to file the claim, it would have to file for another court date.

"The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California court rejected Apple's attempt to circumvent the legal process in order to delay the launch of the Galaxy S III," said Samsung in a statement.

"We will continue to take all available measures to oppose Apple's attempts to disrupt consumer access to the Galaxy S III. We will also ensure that the U.S. launch and sales of the Galaxy S III will proceed as planned."

The Samsung phone is slated for a June 21 release date in the US and is already up for preorders at the AT&T Web site.

The smartphone will be available in red color exclusively on AT&T, while it is only available in two variants, marble white and pebble blue, worldwide. The Galaxy S3 packs a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display. Also, AT&T Galaxy S3 devices runs on dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processors with 2GB of RAM. The device has 16/32GB of internal storage with microSD card support up to 64GB.

Samsung will also be launching a 64GB variant of Galaxy S3 later this year.

The Galaxy S3 will also run on Android 4.0 and will include software features like S Voice, Pop-up Play, Smart Eye tracking, Burst shoot camera mode and S Beam. It has 8-megapixel camera at the back that can record fullHD 1080p videos.
