Former NBA superstar is turning 50-years-old tomorrow Feb. 17 and what better way to celebrate a lifetime of success than with the release of 13 new Air Jordan sneakers during his birthday month.
Earlier this month there were five new Air Jordan releases: 3 Retro '88 in white and cement, 13 "Squadron Blue," Spizike "BHM," 1 "BHM," and 1 "Year of the Snake."
And one of the more sentimental releases this month is The Air Jordan 3 Retro '88 that was released on Feb. 6 and is a tribute to the 25th anniversary of MJ's slam dunk championship and has a price tag of $200, according to KicksOnFire.com
The Air Jordan X11 "Squadron Blue" has a more retro style and features a monochromatic deep blue color scheme with just a hint of electric yellow reaching up from the sole and lines the bottom. These kicks are valued at $170.
And the Air Jordan Spizike "BHM," a tribute to Black History Month, are a pair sure to draw some attention with the eye-popping neon yellow-green hue volt with black patterned accents toward the heel and around the perimeter of the toe. These tribute kicks cost $175. There is also another "BHM" release in black with a blue speckled pattern throughout and volt accents.
The "Year of the Snake" Jordans are also sure to attract some attention with its multi-color and contemporary styling that is priced at $300.
And for the day before MJ's birthday, five new Jordans are scheduled for release on Feb. 16 including the 28 in black and volt, 28 "All Star," 3 "Joker," 1 "Joker," and 1 Hi in black and royal.
The futuristic styling of the Air Jordan 28 in black volt also features some really cool features like a stretchy synthetic fabric fitted with a zipper for a modern look. The 8-inch collar adds to the supportive feel of the show as well as offering a distinctive look. These are priced at $250. There is also another 28 edition, "All Star," offering the same features in black, white and electric green for the same price as its counterpart.
The day before MJ's birthday also brings the release of the 3 and 1 "Joker" Jordans in black with green and purple accents and black and electric green with canyon purple and pure violet accenting, respectively. The 3-edition is priced at $160, while the 1 retails for $115.
And the Air Jordan 1 Retro Hi OG in black and varsity royal will also be released Feb. 16. The leather construction featuring royal blue and black hues with a white midsole is sure to please. These kicks are priced at $140.
Air Jordan 3 "Bright Crimson" are scheduled for release on Feb. 23, while Air Jordan 1 "UNC" and Aird Jordan 1 Low in metallic silver and black, challenge red and tour yellow are expected to be released sometime in February as well.
