UPDATE: English translation of new Eevee evolution confirmed, click here.

--

A new Pokémon has been confirmed and it is from the Eevee evolution line.

After long speculation, the Japanese magazine "Coro Coro" has revealed new information on the next evolution of the normal-type Pokémon Eevee. Although the news was revealed in Japanese, the next Eevee evolution is known as Ninfia. The name is not the English translation.

It is unknown as to what the type Ninfia is but the clues about the Pokémon has been out for a while leading up to last night's leak.

The Japanese Pokémon talk show "Pokémon Smash" featured a trailer of their next variety show depicting several people dressed as Eevee's various evolutions on top of noting that it will reveal new information for the six generation games "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y." (see video below)

A poster of the next Pikachu short movie also provided hints that there would've been a new Eevee evolution.

According to Bulbapedia, "Coro Coro" has listed Ninfia to be three-feet-three-inches tall and weigh 51.8-lbs.

The name Ninfia does go in line of the latest Eevee evolutions of Glaceon and Leafeon from the fourth generation. Leafeon and Glaceon's Japanese names are Leafia and Glacia, both featuring the "ia" as Ninfia. Perhaps the English translation of Ninfia will be Ninfeon.

"Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" will be released in October in Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America for the Nintendo 3DS.
