Despite CBS' butt and breast exposure clothing ban at the 2013 Grammy Awards, some stars couldn't help but show off their sexy figures in risqué fashion.

Days before the 55th Grammys aired live from Los Angeles, celebrities were warned not to wear "sheer see-through clothing" and to limit "visible 'puffy' bare skin exposure" in an email.  Although some stars did comply, like Grammy Award-winners Beyonce and Taylor Swift, many more did not.

"Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered. Thong type costumes are problematic. Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack. Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic. Please avoid sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples. Please be sure the genital region is adequately covered so that there is no visible 'puffy' bare skin exposure," read the anti-skin email warning.

However on the red carpet, Katy Perry showed off an ample amount of cleavage in a mint green Gucci dress and former Destiny Child's singer Kelly Rowland rocked a sleek Georges Chakra Couture dress that revealed her thighs and cleavage.

Actress/singer Jennifer Lopez joked about complying with the Grammy dress code while she was presenting an award with Hispanic artist Pittbull.

"So, as you can see, I read the memo," said Lopez who was wearing a one-shoulder Anthony Vaccarello gown with a slit that exposed her right thigh.  "You inspired the memo," responded an infatuated Pittbull.  "Yikes, maybe. Whatever you're wearing, or not wearing, this party is worldwide," retorted J.Lo.

Take a look at all of the stars that broke the dress code rules in our slideshow.
