As the release date for the Samsung Galaxy S4 approaches, more and more details about the upcoming flagship device from Samsung has been leaking out. It looks like the smartphone will propagate a "touchless" touchscreen and we now have a rumored location for the Galaxy S4 launch event and a bit of news about how.

Korean news outlet DDaily claims that they've got a list of upcoming "touchless" gestures that will be recognized by the Galaxy S4. Apparently the smartphone will be able to recognize certain motions within a certain distance.  There's no telling how many people will utilize this "inch-saving" feature, but it lines up with a previous report suggesting that people will be able to scroll through screens using just their eyes. The point being here is that Samsung is looking to push the envelope, but remember that Samsung has, as usual, not commented on any of these developments.

According to SamMobile, Samsung might be holding the Galaxy S4 launch event in Moscow, Russia. The Samsung-centric website states that this could be because of Samsung's partnership with Sochi for the 2014 Winter Olympic games in Sochi. Now, I'm not going to lie, this is some thin ice to be basing the rumor on, but hey, you can decide for yourself. It's a well known fact that Samsung is planning a Samsung Mobile Unpacked event for sometime in March, but the location of the event is still unknown. We've heard rumblings of it being in the United States before too, and Moscow does seem a strange place to launch what will become the poster child for smartphones against Apple's iPhone.

The Galaxy S4 is expected to begin shipping out in Europe and Asia during April, following by a United States, Australia, and Africa release in May/June. Rumored specs include a 5-inch 1080p display, Samsung's new Exynos 5 Octa eight-core processor, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, and Android 4.2.

What do you think of these rumors? Do you think touchless gesturing will become a thing of the future?
