On Feb. 5, producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced that Meryl Streep, Jean DuJardin, Octavia Spencer and Christopher Plummer will present at the Oscars on Feb. 24.

The producers stated, "We are honored to have Meryl, Octavia, Christopher and Jean, last year's Oscar winners in each of the acting categories, return to the Oscar stage." The four actors are the first announced to appear during the ceremony.

The Academy has slowly announced the list of presenters and performers. Academy Award nominee Adele Adkins will perform her song "Skyfall," while Norah Jones will sing the song by "Ted" nominated for Best Song. Barbara Streisand will also perform for the first time since 1977.  Mark Wahlberg and the character Ted will also make a special appearance.

Meryl Streep is the most nominated actor in the history of the Oscars and won her third Academy Award for "The Iron Lady" last year. Jean DuJardin won Best Actor for his turn in "The Artist," while Octavia Spencer won for "The Help." Christopher Plummer became the oldest male actor to win an Oscar for his performance the indie film "Beginners. "

The Academy will continue to announce more presenters in the next few days. The awards will be handed out on Feb. 24 and will be broadcast to over 200 countries worldwide.
