New York Fashion Week 2013 is almost here!

The one week celebration of style starts this Thursday, February 7 and will be held at Lincoln Center in Manhattan.  Each year, NYFW allows designers, brands and "houses" to display their latest collections in runaway shows for the media and buyers. It also gives fashionistas the opportunity to preview upcoming season trends.

This year you can catch all the action of the semi-annual high-profile fashion event right from the comfort of your own home. Many designers will debut their Fall/Winter 2013 collections via livestream video on their websites and through social media.  This includes shows presented by Oscar de la Renta, Donna Karan, Jeremy Scott's and Sophie Theallet. Designers are also planning to show off their collections by posting backstage footage on the web.

However, YouTube confirmed on Monday that it will not live-stream any shows from NYFW as it has been doing for the past three seasons. Instead, host IMG has partnered with Rightster and will stream all 54 of the shows on its own website at mbfashionweek.com. The nine shows taking place at NYFW's other hub, MADE Fashion Week, will be hosted on https://new.livestream.com/madefashionweek.

NYFW is one of the four most fashion weeks which are held twice a year in the four fashion capitals of the world: New York City, London, Milan, and Paris. Other fashion weeks are held in Australia, Bangalore, Jakarta, Berlin, Bangkok, Barcelona, Seoul, Tokyo, São Paulo, Los Angeles, Łódź, Rome, Dubai, Hong Kong, Buenos Aires, Singapore, Toronto, Dallas and Madrid.
