On Monday, the who's who of Hollywood film stepped onto the red carpet for the pre-Oscars luncheon at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles. Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Naomi Watts and Bradley Cooper were among the 160 nominees in attendance at the ceremony in anticipation of the Academy Awards, which will be held on Feb. 24.

Just weeks away from the big night, the annual luncheon allowed the stars to mix and mingle and take questions from the press.

Ben Affleck said that he was "elated" that his film "Argo" received seven nominations including the Best Picture Award, despite the fact that he was left out of the Best Actor category. When a reporter asked him whether the Best Director category should be expanded to match the number of nominees (there are nine Best Picture nominees this year), Affleck replied, "I leave those sorts of calculations to the folks in the press and the pundits and the Oscarologists...I don't get into worrying about who got what or didn't get what. I've had many, many, many, many, many years watching from home."

When asked about what dress she planned to wear to the Oscars, Chastain jokingly responded that "Most little girls dreamed about their wedding dress, but I always dreamed of my Oscar dress."

Hathaway, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "Les Miserables" also said she's still hasn't decided on what dress to wear.  She joked, "It was the Super Bowl, I couldn't think about dresses with all that fried food around."

Make sure to tune into the 85th Academy Awards live on Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. EST on ABC.
