Shortly after rumors spread across the internet regarding her supposed pregnancy, Colombian superstar Shakira and her management denied the rumors.

According to the Huffington Post, Shakira told People en Español that the news was simply "Another false rumor." Her social media manager Xavier Menes added on twitter that she was "pregnant with new songs that are INCREDIBLE!"

News of her pregnancy was spread by Mexican entertainment gossip site TV Notas. The publication also stated that the award winning singer and her boyfriend Gerard Pique had also bought a mansion in Barcelona, presumably to get settled with their newborn. The gossip site stated that Shakira was two months pregnant and her baby was due by the end of the year.

The Latin Superstar and soccer player Piqué started dating a few months after collaborating on the filming of the music video for the South Africa World Cup theme song "Waka Waka" (This Time for Africa). Soon after filming the video, reports emerged that that the two were dating even though the two were dating others at the time. Shakira was dating Antonio de la Rua, her boyfriend of nine years.

Shakira eventually made an official confirmation of their relationship on March 29, 2011, via Twitter and Facebook. Rumors promptly followed this past October that the two had ended their relationship, but Shakira's team denied the allegations.

Rumors have long plagued the life of the superstar. A few weeks ago, a rumor spread that the singer from Barranquilla was allegedly posing nude for Playboy. Eventually, Shakira quelled the rumor on Twitter.

Shakira, 35, is currently celebrating the success of her most recent video "Addicted to You" which has reached 10 million views. The Colombian, who has been performing for over 15 years, recently won four Billboard Latin Music Awards and has taken home a total of 29 Latin Billboards over the years.

Pique, 25, is currently a defender for FC Barcelona. He won the World Cup Championship with the Spanish National Team in South Africa in 2010.
