The drama that has engulfed the New York Jets over Tim Tebow continues as just hours before the kickoff to Super Bowl XLVII ESPN reported that the Jets will hold on to Tebow and try to trade him for a potential draft pick.

However, Tebow's stock has dropped tremendously among NFL general managers and some expect that his career could be over. Tebow's meteoric rise to fame began during his 2011 season with the Denver Broncos when he took the team to the playoffs and threw the game winning touchdown in overtime to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Wild Card. Since his trade to the Jets, Tebow mania has simmered down and so have his numbers as he only threw for six completions out of eight attempts during the whole season.

Talks of potentially trading Tebow to the Jacksonville Jaguars, who were interested in Tebow last season, went no where when new Jaguar general manager David Caldwell said during this introductory press conference that the team had no such plans.

"I can't imagine a scenario in which he'll be a Jacksonville Jaguar -- even if he's released," Caldwell said.

The Jets will shop Tebow around beginning on March 12, the opening day of the new league year, and are hopeful they will get a mid-to-late round draft pick, the report says.

Tebow's fall from grace and lack of playing time with the Jets have some players in the league and the Jets organization upset that the 25-year-old quarterback wasn't given a chance to succeed in the pros. Bill Romanowski, a Tebow supporter and former Bronco linebacker, said during an interview on ESPN that Tebow will be back next year and will be among the best in the leage. Romanowski also tried to make a case that the Jets would have made the playoffs this season if they let Tebow start.

"If Tim Tebow was the starting quarterback this year they'd be in the playoffs, period. End of story," said Romanowski, adding "I don't think it, I know it."

The Jets finished the 2012 season with a 6 and 10 record.
