The hit series "Pablo Escobar: Patron Del Mal" comes to its end tonight on Telemundo.

The series has chronicled the rise and fall of the notorious drug lord and has held a top spot on Telemundo's primetime lineup. In recent episodes, Pablo has lost his most trusted hit men and has found himself alone. His wife and two children attempted to escape to Germany but the Colombian government made sure that the German government would send them back. Meanwhile Pablo's mother was shot and is dying. In the grand finale, the drug lord will finally meet his fate (SPOILER ALERT) and will be killed in a raid at his hideout.

The episode will only be a half-hour starting at 10 PM EST, but Telemundo is planning a special program on Friday which will include interviews with the cast and crew of the production. There has been no word on whether it will be a full hour special or simply a half-hour program.

There are also no updates on whether Telemundo plans to replace "Patron Del Mal" with its upcoming series "El Señor De Los Cielos" or if the channel will instead feature its 10:30 series "El Rostro De La Venganza" for a full hour.

"Patron Del Mal" has been a hit in every country that it has been premiered in and was hailed in Colombia for its gritty style that moved away from typical telenovela tropes in favor of a more realistic approach.
