Pokémon's sixth generation games are nine months away from making their physical debut, but the direction of the 3D game is under familiar hands.

GameFreak inc. Game Director Junichi Masuda posted a blog post about the upcoming "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" games.

Masuda posted a press statement that noted they "are aiming to deliver genuine entertainment that can be enjoyed
simultaneously by people from all over the world."

"The Pokémon series has always been more than just a game.
It's a series that brings people together, and encourages them to get excited and
have fun as if they were at a festival," Masuda added. "
That is why I wanted to achieve my long-time dream of a worldwide simultaneous release
with these new entries to the series."

Masuda said he's directing the "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" games and is leading the GameFreak team.

He added, "We're currently hard at work creating a game we think will be something really special."

Further, Masuda noted he looks forward to playing the games with "everyone from around the world."

"Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" will be released in October across Australia, Europe, Japan, and North America. Pre-orders are currently being accepted with some sites. The sixth generation game will be exclusive for the Nintendo 3DS.
