Sofia Vergara, Jessica Alba, Eva Longoria Win at Glamour Women of the Year Awards

Tuesday night, Sofia Vergara, Eva Longoria, and Jessica Alba picked up the top accolades at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards.

UK's Glamour magazine held their annual awards at the Berkeley Square in London where stars from around the world attended including English model Kelly Brook, Amanda Holden, and opera star Katherine Jenkins.

The awards show began after a celebratory dinner with the first award going to Jesse J for solo artist of the year. The following award went to Colombian actress Sofia Vergara, who was named Comedy Actress of the Year for her role in "Modern Family".

While Vergara accepted her award, she said: "I'm so happy to be here, Glamour, thank you! To be part of this with all these glamorous people is amazing. Thank you so much, I hope to be back again."

Jessica Alba (Machete) who was particularly excited to be at the event was awarded the entrepreneur of the year for her household products. While on the Red Carpet Alba stated that she was really looking forward to just celebrating women and seeing people there that she had not seen very much because she was always working. She stated that "it's nice to just hang out with some of these glamorous people."

Eva Longoria, who is currently starring in the new film "For Greater Glory," won the award for Inspiration of the Year for her charity work.

Actress Lily Collins, daughter of pop star Phil Collins, won the Breakthrough of the Year trophy for her role in 'Mirror, Mirror" and Viola Davis won for Actress of the Year. Glee's Lea Michele and singer Florence Welch were also awarded.

The Glamour Woman of the year award is held each June to recognize the women in the public eye. Glamour is a women's publication founded in 1939 in the United States under the name "Glamour of Hollywood." Publications later appeared in various countries including the UK and Latin America.
