This week, Nokia will begin rolling out the official cases for their latest flagship smartphone, the Lumia 920. You will be able to choose one of two varieties of cases, which will hit the U.S. market starting on the 25th of January.

The first type is a soft cover available in cyan or red. These cases wrap around the back and sides of the Lumia 920, but they have an open front, leaving the screen exposed. Other colors for this type of case, including yellow, black, and white, may be available as it starts rolling out, according to WpCentral.

The other type of case will be a leather flip cover. This will protect the screen when it is closed, and when you flip it open, the cover becomes a prop to hold the phone up horizontally at an angle. So far it looks like the leather case will only be available in black.

The soft cases are going to be priced at $16.99 each, while the slicker, more versatile leather cover will be available for $27.99.

The Lumia 920 is Nokia's high performance smartphone, priced higher than other models, but providing a lot of power in exchange. Some specs include a screen resolution of 1,280x768 on a 4.5-inch display with PureMotion HD+ software, running with 1GB RAM. The Lumia 920 also has 32GB internal storage, a 8.7-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm S4 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and like new Nokia smartphones, runs the newest version of the Windows mobile operating system, Windows 8.
